The Real Story

Where it started.

I started out as a filmmaker doing real estate content across Auckland. Shooting finished homes, working with property flippers, the polished end of things.

But the work I couldn't stop thinking about was what came before that. The actual build. The crew on site. The grit and precision behind what eventually becomes a finished property. That's where the real stories were.

So I followed that. Niched into construction and trades content marketing, built a body of work in that world, and eventually built Obi Studios around it.

Obi Studios is a trade and construction content marketing studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. We work with builders, contractors, and trades businesses across Auckland, Waikato, and Wellington, creating cinematic short-form video and social media content that actually reflects the quality of their work.
